 SPENCER ARMS 12 GA SXS

Hammerless - Double Trigger

SN 34771  matching on Receiver, Hand Guard and Barrels CIRCA 1890 - Has "SPENCER >>>>>>>> GUN FINE DAMASCUS" on the barrel -- 80+% Blue remaining and the rest is grey & brown patina  --- excellent bores, smooth & shinny, only very minor pitting, --- Stock is hand rubbed walnut and is in very good overall condition with no cracks and only 1 major ding.  70% checkering remaining on the fore stock and hand grip.  32" Barrels are marked "Fine Damascus" --- In overall excellent  mechanical condition with strong factory markings.

This one has some undocumented history. On the inside of the of the for stock is the name LILLY etched into the wood. Also on the hand grip but are the initials JRL and 1893 etched into the wood.

I did a little internet research and found a JR Lilly in Gladstone Missouri who lost his wife at age 21 in 1882 - I haven't been able to find any other info.

Will accept 2 1/2 & 3" shells - Black Powder loads recommended
